New Leadership Begins at MLST

A Message from Incoming President Andra Preda
June 2026

The Medico-Legal Society of Toronto (MLST) is pleased to begin an exciting new chapter under the leadership of newly elected President Andra Preda.

In her first message to members, colleagues, and friends of the Society, Andra reflected on the important role MLST continues to play in bringing together professionals across medicine, healthcare, law, and science to advance knowledge, collaboration, and professional excellence.

Following the Society’s recent 76th Anniversary Signature Dinner and Awards Celebration, Andra expressed appreciation to everyone who joined in celebrating this important milestone and recognized the many individuals whose dedication continues to strengthen the organization.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Jordi Cisa to the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto Board of Directors.

An accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing in Sudbury for more than 30 years, Dr. Cisa brings extensive expertise in clinical practice, trauma care, independent medical assessments, and medico-legal orthopaedics.

Since 1998, he has focused extensively on medico-legal assessments for both plaintiff and defence clients, earning internationally recognized certifications in insurance medicine, independent medical examinations, disability evaluation, and impairment assessment.

A longstanding member of both Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators and MLST, Dr. Cisa brings valuable experience and perspective that will further strengthen our multidisciplinary community.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Cisa to the table and look forward to his contributions as we continue advancing education, collaboration, and excellence in the medico-legal profession.
